Keep Cool – Gin and Tea!

To celebrate the ongoing Summer sun we’ve put together an exquisitely British Earl Grey Gin and Tonic using our favourite Devonshire Tea Earl Grey (yes, some of you may well recognise it and yes, there are other tasty tea brands available out there – let us know your favourite!)

INGREDIENTS

For the Earl Grey syrup:

3 x Earl Grey teabags plus
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water

For the cocktail:

50ml Gin – your choice (ours is Plymouth)
200ml Tonic of your choice (Luscombe?)
Ice & slice

METHOD

Place your glasses in the freezer.
To make the Earl Grey syrup, put the teabags, sugar and water in a pan and simmer for 15-20 mins on the hob until the mixture thickens and becomes slightly syrup-like.
Take a chilled glass and add some ice. Add 50ml of gin, 200ml of tonic and as much syrup as you wish, depending on the level of flavour you prefer.

Relax and enjoy the experience!
